Once again, the Supreme Court reminded everyone that the President isn’t supposed to be some powerless figurehead. The Founders wrote it in plain English: the executive branch is, well, the President. It’s right there at the very start of the Constitution, yet the left acts shocked every time the Supreme Court dares to mention it.
Liberals in the media and the D.C. swamp have twisted the meaning of “executive power” for decades. They treat every Republican President as if he’s some dangerous tyrant, but when it’s one of their own in the White House, suddenly executive power is magical and sacred. Why do liberals get to love “the power of the pen and phone” for Obama, but screech about “authoritarianism” for Trump? Their hypocrisy is laughable.
This latest Supreme Court decision just reminded America what real leadership looks like. The President has actual authority because the Constitution grants it. The left may drool over “global norms” and international rules, but here in America, we follow our own founding documents—no matter how much it makes progressives squirm.
Deep state bureaucrats have gotten far too comfortable making decisions that should be left to the man elected by the people. The left cheers these unelected power players because they can’t stand anyone with a backbone standing up for American values. When the President uses his constitutional rights, they go running to activist judges every time.
The truth is simple. The Chief Executive is supposed to be—wait for it—the Chief Executive. Isn’t it funny how liberals need a dictionary every time they lose a political fight? Maybe next time they’ll actually read the Constitution instead of pretending it’s just an old piece of paper.
