California’s house of cards is crashing down—and Democrats are still playing pretend. Gavin Newsom just got his final budget rubber stamped by the Left’s loyal foot soldiers in Sacramento. The numbers are bigger than ever, but the priorities? Still as upside-down as a San Francisco sidewalk.
Let’s call this what it is: another blue-state embarrassment. The so-called “budget” pushed through by these liberal elites is built on fantasy, not reality. Sure, they throw around billions, but where’s the money going? Not into making life better for struggling Californians, that’s for sure. Instead, it’s endless giveaways, wasteful programs, and handouts to the very special interests who got Newsom his job in the first place. No surprise—the swamp always takes care of its own.
Democrat leaders act like their spending spree is something to praise, while ordinary families get hit harder every year with higher taxes and worse services. Public schools are a mess. Streets are littered with tents and needles. Businesses are packing up and fleeing to Texas and Florida. But as long as the woke crowd gets to virtue signal on climate change and identity politics, they think all is well.
Let’s not forget, under Newsom’s reckless watch, government spending shot up nearly 70 percent! What does the average person have to show for it? Higher rent, more crime, and gas prices that should be criminal. Politicians in Sacramento live in a fantasy land, sipping lattes while hard-working Americans pay the price.
It’s time to end the charade. Newsom may be packing his bags, but California’s leaders are still selling empty promises and calling it progress. When will voters wake up and realize the so-called “California Dream” is now just a nightmare led by liberal incompetence? How many more disastrous budgets will it take before commonsense, accountability, and genuine American values are restored in the Golden State?
