While these journalists lucked out and escaped physical harm, their equipment and vehicle weren’t so untouched—proof that no one is off-limits in these urban war zones.
The liberals running Chicago insist their policies work, yet crime spins out of control. Instead of focusing on law and order, city leaders bend over backward for criminals and ignore the rights of law-abiding citizens. Look at the facts: reporters, there to bring news to the public, are ambushed in broad daylight by thugs emboldened by toothless laws. Three people got arrested, but who really thinks they’ll face serious consequences under this weak, soft-on-crime regime?
It’s not just the locals who suffer. The entire nation is watching these “blue cities” serve as cautionary tales of what happens when you put feelings over facts and criminal rights over public safety. The irony is rich—media outlets usually carry water for these same politicians. Yet their own crews end up as victims of the chaos their friends in power allow to fester. Still, the big city bigwigs will find a way to blame everything but their own failures.

The globalist agenda disguised as “inclusive governance” just leaves American streets dangerous and families afraid. While leftists host fancy luncheons to discuss equity, regular folks and even the media get mugged in the street. That’s the real legacy of liberal control.
The sad truth is, if the people in charge actually cared, they’d make citizens’ safety their biggest priority. But in Chicago—and other Democrat strongholds—they only care about appeasing radical activists. Maybe next time, the media will wake up and shine a spotlight where it belongs: on liberal leaders who’ve turned great American cities into playgrounds for criminals.
