The liberal power grab just hit a massive wall—in the most unlikely place. The Colorado Supreme Court, sitting in a state run by Democrats, just blocked a series of ballot schemes that would have given the left a do-over on drawing the state’s congressional maps. Make no mistake, these ballot measures were nothing more than another dirty trick by Democrats to grab more power and erase the voice of anyone who dares to disagree with them.
For years, Democrats have whined and moaned about so-called “unfair” maps when they don’t win enough seats, but somehow they see no issue with their own creative gerrymandering when it benefits them. This time, their latest plan was to push through new redistricting changes BEFORE the next round of national elections. Can anyone blame Americans for being sick and tired of these shameless, self-serving games?
It’s clear what this was all about: stacking the deck to make every race go blue, no matter how people actually vote. But even liberal judges saw right through the charade and put a stop to it. When the radicals running today’s Democrat Party can’t win fair and square, they try to rewrite the rules. They’d rather upend the will of the people than trust voters with honest choices.
Of course, the liberal media and their globalist pals would love to tell you this is about protecting democracy. But that word means nothing to leftists unless they’re in charge. This was a sneaky attempt at a power shift, cooked up by a party that’s lost touch with what real Americans actually want for their states and communities.
Democrats should take this as a loud wake-up call: the American people are not blind to their tricks. When even the courts in a so-called “blue state” have to step in and tell them “enough,” you know the grift has gone too far. How many more times will these elites try to rig the game before voters finally throw them out for good?
