New York Voters Just Handed Power to Radicals and Everyday Citizens Are Paying the Price

Another election, another collection of New York Democrats handing the keys to the most radical voices they can find. Last week, voters picked Claire Valdez, Darializa Avila Chevalier, and, yet again, Brad Lander as their champions. It looks like common sense in New York politics is officially on the endangered species list.

Anyone paying attention could see this coming. These so-called “progressives” love to talk about “equity” and “fairness,” but their real game is power. Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier march in lockstep with socialist talking points. They dream about bloated government, endless spending, and open doors for illegal immigrants. If it means higher crime and higher taxes for the rest of us, too bad. Their answer to every problem? More government, less freedom, and endless excuses.

Brad Lander, meanwhile, is as much a career politician as anyone in Albany. Despite sky-high rents, crumbling infrastructure, and families fleeing the city in droves, he’s more interested in pushing his climate agenda and pandering to every special interest group he can find. Real New Yorkers are left picking up the bill while Lander lectures from his ivory tower about “justice.”

Let’s be real: the only thing these winners care about is keeping themselves in power and making sure their left-wing buddies get a slice of taxpayer money. They pretend to stand with “the people,” but their ideas only work for wealthy donors and globalist elites who hide behind gated neighborhoods. Who suffers? Everyday Americans living in real neighborhoods, forced to deal with skyrocketing crime, failing schools, and a city government more interested in activism than actual results.

If New York wants to survive, it has to stop falling for the same empty promises and failed ideas. Voters should ask themselves: just how much misery are New Yorkers willing to take before they finally kick these radical ideologues out of office? The city that never sleeps deserves leaders who put Americans first, not the latest flavor of socialist nonsense.
