The Biden administration might be asleep at the wheel on some issues, but for once, the Department of Justice is taking real action—this time against two of the worst offenders in America’s endless crusade against freedom: California and Virginia. Apparently, these so-called “progressive” states just can’t stand the thought of their citizens exercising their God-given right to protect themselves. California wants to ban Glock handguns—America’s most popular pistol—while Virginia is targeting the AR-15, the nation’s rifle of choice for home defense and sport.
Here’s the reality: what California and Virginia are pushing isn’t just anti-gun. It’s anti-American. These blue state politicians love to pretend they’re smarter than the Founders, trampling on the Constitution in a desperate attempt to disarm honest families. They brag about keeping communities safe, but all they’re doing is making sure violent criminals hold the only keys to the gun cabinet. Law-abiding citizens? Forced to rely on government mercy or hope that help arrives in time. Good luck with that.
California’s so-called “Handgun Roster” goes even further, limiting the choices of gun owners and treating responsible adults like children. The same liberals who cry about “choice” in every arena now want to decide what kind of firearm you can use to defend your family. They’ve cherry-picked which models pass their arbitrary lists—not based on facts, but on pure disdain for freedom. Now they want to ban Glocks? If this wasn’t so dangerous, it would almost be funny.
Thank goodness there are still a few people in Washington with backbone. The Department of Justice is suing these states, fighting back against leaders who don’t care about the Constitution. Second Amendment rights don’t magically disappear at the California or Virginia border. The Supreme Court has made it clear: Americans have the right to own and carry the firearms that are most commonly used for self-defense. Liberals can whine about “assault weapons” and “common sense” until the cows come home, but the reality doesn’t change.
This isn’t about public safety—it’s about control. It’s about arrogant politicians deciding what rights you get, treating everyday Americans as enemies. What’s next? Will they ban free speech, too, if it makes them “uncomfortable”? These anti-gun crusaders want a disarmed, dependent population. We should all be asking: why are they so afraid of armed citizens?
