Socialists just toppled a longtime Democrat in Colorado and your state could be next

Colorado has done it again, folks. The radical left just knocked off another Democrat incumbent, and this time, it’s all courtesy of the “Democratic” Socialists. That’s right—these self-proclaimed socialists are no longer hiding on the fringes. They’re marching straight into seats of power, weaponizing primaries to take down any moderate Democrat who dares stand in their way.

Just days ago, socialists backed by the radical DSA swept through New York’s primaries, knocking out sitting representatives. Now the infection has spread to America’s heartland. In Colorado’s 1st Congressional District, lifelong incumbent Diana DeGette just got steamrolled by Melat Kiros, a card-carrying member of the DSA. Not too long ago, that would have sounded like a far-left fever dream. Now, it’s the new reality for the Democratic Party—and a warning for the rest of us.

Let’s call this what it really is: a hostile takeover. Socialists have realized they can’t win over regular Americans, so they hijack closed-door Democrat primaries to slip their dangerous agenda past unassuming voters. These so-called “progressives” love to lecture the rest of us about democracy, but in practice, they use backroom tricks and party machinery to push their America-last vision onto cities like Denver and beyond. Voters looking for a common-sense Democrat don’t stand a chance when leftist special interests flood the field.

Think about what this means for the middle class. These socialist candidates campaign for open borders, higher taxes, and government control over every part of your life. They pretend to care about working families, but every policy they push only empowers the global elites and weakens our nation. Liberals talk about “progress,” but all we see is incompetence, hypocrisy, and a total disregard for what made America great in the first place.

The Democrat Party of yesterday is dead. Today’s party is all-in on socialism, and they don’t care who gets trampled along the way. Maybe it’s time for everyday Coloradans—and the rest of America—to ask themselves: just how many more socialists are we willing to let into Congress before we say enough is enough?
