The Supreme Court has once again caved to the left’s vision of America as one gigantic open border. This week’s ruling handed birthright citizenship to anyone born on our soil—even to children of illegal aliens and tourists—while ignoring the clear, common-sense intentions of the Constitution’s authors. It’s open season for “anchor babies,” and the radical left couldn’t be happier.
The man behind the 14th Amendment, Senator Jacob Howard, knew exactly what he was doing. He made it crystal clear: the amendment was written to give citizenship to freed slaves and those truly subject to American law—not to reward foreigners who wander in, break our rules, and then demand the perks of being American. Yet here we are in 2026, watching as activist judges twist and distort his words so that America becomes citizenship central for the globe. Where’s the justice for the real citizens who built this country?
Justice Clarence Thomas, a rare voice of sanity, saw right through the charade. He pointed out that citizenship is supposed to be linked to legal residence and real connection to the country. If you’re here illegally or just passing through on vacation, why on earth should your child be handed an American passport? That isn’t justice. That’s a joke. But try telling that to the liberal bloc on the Court—or the so-called conservatives who caved for media applause.
Now, Republicans are being forced to clean up this mess, yet again. Instead of the Court doing its job and enforcing the real meaning of the Constitution, Republicans need new laws to stop birth tourism and block the endless flood of anchor babies. While Rep. Andy Ogles’s proposed “Anchors Away Act” is a step in the right direction, why does it even have to come to this? We all know the answer: globalist elites and leftist politicians value new Democrat voters more than American citizenship.
The Supreme Court had the chance to stand up for American sovereignty and slam the door on this madness. Instead, they flung it wide open. At this rate, the only question left is: How much longer will true Americans sit back and watch their country handed away, one anchor baby at a time?
