Most days, gun owners feel like Washington is out to get them. But every now and then, there’s a shock to the system—and it’s not always a bad one. As Virginia’s ridiculous new “assault weapons” ban begins, the government finally did something right for gun owners. Instead of dragging their feet or throwing up roadblocks, the head of the ATF made sure every Virginia gun owner’s paperwork was processed on time. Imagine that—a government agency doing its job, serving the people instead of punishing them.
The facts are clear: Virginia’s anti-gun lawmakers have been busy trampling the Constitution. They keep pushing bans and restrictions they know won’t make anyone safer. It’s just a giant power grab from the anti-gun Democrats and their globalist pals. But even as the Left tries to squeeze legal gun owners, all they are doing is mobilizing opposition. Lawsuits are piling up. Pro-Second Amendment groups, with the backing of real Americans, are fighting back in the courts. Injunctions are already stopping state police from enforcing some of these unconstitutional laws. The courts can see through the nonsense.
Why should any honest Virginian have to beg for permission to keep what’s already theirs? The radical Left talks a big game about “public safety,” but then ties up law-abiding gun owners with red tape, hoping people will just give up. Not this time. Thanks to quick action from the bureaucracy—for once!—lawful citizens didn’t get tripped up by paperwork games. It’s almost refreshing to see the government not stacked against working Americans for a change.
The Democrat machine wants Americans weak, docile, and disarmed. But their anti-gun fever dream keeps hitting a brick wall—the Constitution, and the millions of gun owners who know what freedom means. This mess is headed right to the Supreme Court, where gun owners have been on a winning streak. The Left can’t stand it. They talk about “common sense laws,” but they know these bans target nothing but common sense itself.
So, take the win—however small—as a reminder: the only thing standing between Americans and an out-of-control government is the Second Amendment and people who refuse to surrender. The government did its job, but only after relentless pressure from real patriots. The Left can’t stand it. When will they figure out they’re on the losing side of history?
