It’s a bad night to be a Democrat in Colorado. The so-called “blue wall” just took a beating. Three-term Senator Michael Bennet, one of the key faces of liberal establishment politics, just got tossed out on his ear—and not by Republicans, but by the progressives in his own backyard. Let that sink in. Bennet thought he could just waltz back from Washington and take over the Colorado governor’s mansion, like he’s royalty with a seat reserved for him. Instead, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser handed him a humiliating loss.
Bennet, of course, tried to act like his years in Washington meant something. He ran for president, remember? And what did he accomplish in D.C.? More empty promises, more globalist posturing, and more playing nice with the radical elements tearing this country apart. But back home, voters sent a loud message: they’re done with these tired, out-of-touch politicians who talk big about “progress” while ignoring the everyday American who just wants a fair shake.
Let’s face it—Democrats love to brag about their so-called “unity,” but when push comes to shove, their infighting spills out for everyone to see. Here you have Bennet, the poster-boy for establishment politics, getting steamrolled by players from his own side. It’s liberal incompetence at its finest. For years, these elites have ignored the real concerns of working families, instead pushing their agenda of government handouts, open borders, and anti-American values.
And then there’s Phil Weiser. He played the insider game better than Bennet, tapping into the left’s appetite for even more control over people’s lives. But let’s be clear—this victory isn’t some great win for Colorado’s future. It’s just a fresh coat of paint on the same failed liberal policies. If you like higher taxes, soft-on-crime bureaucracy, and someone who bows to special interests while forgetting the average voter, well, buckle up. Colorado’s about to get a whole lot more of it.
Maybe now Democrats will finally realize Americans are tired of their power games and hypocrisy. But, knowing the left, they’ll just keep blaming “the system” instead of looking in the mirror. If even their own can’t stand them, what does that say about their so-called leadership?
