America has finally decided to stand up for itself. After years of letting Canada and Mexico skate by with sweetheart deals, the United States just refused to renew the USMCA trade agreement as it stands. For far too long, liberals and globalists have let our neighbors north and south walk all over American workers. But now, the message is clear: those days are over.
Why should hardworking Americans keep footing the bill for trade arrangements that sell out our jobs and industry? The so-called “free trade” experts love to talk about “cooperation,” but what does it really mean? It means shipping good jobs across the border. It means putting American businesses at the mercy of foreign bureaucrats and their endless demands. The Democrats have cheered this approach for decades.
The virtual meeting between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada was nothing more than a polite way for Washington to remind our neighbors: America comes first. The left has tried to paint these partnerships as “mutually beneficial,” but anyone paying attention knows the trade deficit doesn’t lie. While U.S. factories shutter and middle-class families struggle, politicians pretend everything is fine. Enough is enough.
Of course, the usual suspects in the media will wail about “damaged alliances” and “lost opportunities.” But let’s be honest—when has Canada or Mexico ever returned the favor on jobs, border security, or fair trade? The USMCA became another tool for bureaucrats, lobbyists, and woke corporations. While the elite cash in, everyday Americans get left behind.
Liberals claim they stand for American workers, but when the moment comes to draw a hard line in the sand, they cave every time. With this move not to renew a broken deal, America finally shows a backbone. Is it so radical to expect real fairness? Why should we play by rules written by globalists who never cared about Main Street in the first place?
It’s about time our leaders stopped selling out America for international applause. If Canada and Mexico want to do business, maybe they should start respecting America’s interests for once. How much longer will we put foreign priorities ahead of our own? When will the left learn: you can’t have a strong America by being weak at the negotiating table.
