LA Metro turned into a crime zone after woke fare policies let lawlessness take over

When politicians in Los Angeles decided to stop enforcing fares on the Metro, they didn’t just let deadbeats ride for free. They opened the door wide for criminals and chaos, all in the name of “equity.” Instead of making buses and trains safer for the hard-working law-abiding citizens who actually pay, LA’s leaders bent over backward to appease the woke crowd. They made Metro a playground for thieves, drug dealers, and, yes, even killers.

These liberals act as if enforcing the rules is somehow racist or unfair. Meanwhile, the only thing that’s unfair is what regular folks must suffer through — being harassed, robbed, or worse, just trying to get to work. What’s so “equitable” about more murders, more assaults, and an entire system that’s spiraling into lawlessness?

Once again, the left’s obsession with so-called social justice ignores basic safety and common sense. If you let people ride public transportation without paying, what message do you send? Rules don’t matter. Laws don’t matter. It’s open season. And who benefits the most? Certainly not the families who need a safe ride to school or work. Instead, it’s the crooks, addicts, and vagrants, emboldened by a system that refuses to punish bad behavior.

It’s all part of the same tired story. Liberal politicians lecture us about “equity” from their gated communities while real-life commuters pay the price. Globalist wonks, far from the streets, preach equality but saddle cities with deadly policies. They don’t take public transit — you do. They’re not the ones left looking over their shoulder at every stop, praying not to become another statistic.

So the next time you hear another politician claim that fare enforcement is “mean,” just remember who’s getting hurt: decent, tax-paying Americans. How many innocent lives must be lost before Los Angeles wakes up from this delusion? The “equity” crowd’s empty promises have turned public transportation into a nightmare. Maybe it’s time we stopped letting criminals ride for free and started standing up for law and order — before all that’s left on the Metro are the criminals themselves.
