Some Democrats never miss a chance to blame America first—no matter the cost, no matter the pain it causes our own citizens. Look at people like Abdul El-Sayed and Melat Kiros. With their latest shameful comments, they have tried to treat the horror of 9/11 like some kind of karma for American foreign policy. Are you kidding me? How dare they act as if the murder of thousands of innocent men and women—our moms and dads, sisters and brothers—was just some expected reaction?
This isn’t a hard issue. It’s one thing to question American leaders or debate military action. That’s every citizen’s right. But it’s twisted to put the blame for cold-blooded terrorism on the victims and the country that was attacked. That’s not thoughtful debate—it’s a betrayal. When American families look to their politicians for leadership, they deserve loyalty, not lectures about how maybe we had it coming.
Liberals like El-Sayed and Kiros love to preach about “root causes.” Funny how those causes always let foreign terrorists off the hook and always end up making America the bad guy. Meanwhile, the real-world result is cruel. It insults the memory of every single person lost on 9/11. It sends a message that American lives matter less in the global chess game of leftist virtue signaling.
Why do so many on the left go soft when it comes to defending America? Is it because they’re so desperate to appear “woke” and globally minded? Or maybe their elite circles in academia and the media just can’t bring themselves to draw a hard, clear line between right and wrong. But here’s the truth: when you excuse mass murder, you join the chorus of anti-American activists, not patriots.
America wasn’t perfect on September 10, 2001. It’s not perfect now. But there is no excuse—none—for turning our loved ones into casualties of some twisted political lesson. Comments like these should be a wake-up call. If your first instinct is to “understand” the monsters who killed Americans on 9/11, maybe you’ve lost sight of what nation you’re supposed to serve.
How much lower are liberals willing to stoop just to win points with their radical base? Maybe they should spend less time finding excuses for our enemies—and more time standing up for the country that gave them a platform in the first place.
