Minnesota’s liberal leaders have stooped to a new low. Governor Tim Walz, along with the rest of the state’s pardon board, helped let a convicted child rapist off the hook. That’s not an exaggeration. They used their power to pardon a man who attacked a 10-year-old girl—a man who admitted his crime but dodged even a single day behind bars. Why? So he wouldn’t get deported.
Apparently, in woke Minnesota, the “rights” of a foreign criminal matter more than protecting children or upholding justice. Tou Lue Vang, a man from Laos convicted in 2005, was about to be deported for his horrific crime. Yet, just one week before he was set to go, Walz and his board gave him a ticket to stay. Now this convicted predator can fight to remain in our country, instead of finally facing consequences.
This isn’t justice. It’s madness. This is the kind of upside-down logic the radical left believes in—where illegal aliens and criminals go free while everyday Americans are expected to tolerate anything in the name of “compassion.” Who gets compassion in this story? Certainly not the 10-year-old victim whose life was shattered.
It’s clear what’s really going on. The progressive ruling class is so obsessed with open borders and globalist agendas that they’re willing to pardon any criminal, even a child rapist, just to send a message to ICE and the rest of us. Meanwhile, American children pay the price for their virtue signaling. They refuse to put our country, our communities, and our values first.
People need to wake up. When will “enough is enough” finally mean something to these liberals? Or do Minnesota’s leaders now believe criminals deserve more mercy than America’s kids?
