This is a massive chunk of the Democrat base openly embracing a failed political system that destroys freedom and punishes hard-working Americans.
Socialism — no matter what lipstick the Democrats try to smear on it — is just a fancy word for government control and broken promises. Democratic socialists love to talk about “fairness” and “equity,” but it’s nothing but a playbook for more taxes, more government, and less freedom. History is full of examples showing how socialism crushes dreams, drains economies, and leads people straight into poverty.
Yet, instead of learning from history, the modern Democrat party seems more interested in copying the failed ideas of Venezuela and Cuba. You’ve got their rising stars winning elections by bragging about being democratic socialists. The party’s leadership just winks and nods, hoping Americans aren’t paying attention to their slow march toward socialism. They’re no longer even pretending to be moderate. They want to spend, regulate, and “redistribute” until there’s nothing left except government handouts and empty promises.
Liberal elites and their globalist buddies love this direction. More government means more control for them and less voice for regular Americans. They’ll call it “progress”— but anyone paying attention knows it’s just more power for the bureaucrats and special interests. Meanwhile, the average American family foots the bill, stuck with higher prices, smaller paychecks, and dreams that are harder to reach.
If nearly a third of Democrats truly want socialist leaders, what does that say about where their party is headed? Socialism isn’t compassion; it’s control.
