If you think the Democratic Socialists of America are just a harmless group chanting about “justice,” think again. They aren’t even bothering to hide it anymore. Their co-chair, Ashik Siddique, finally let it slip—they’re coming for your private property, whether you like it or not. This isn’t paranoia. It’s their open agenda. The radical left is obsessed with punishing success and controlling what ordinary Americans can own. Their new favorite trick? Squeeze the so-called “rich” until owning property becomes a crime.
Let’s talk about New York City, where this socialist experiment is playing out like a bad horror movie. Liberals running the show want to slap higher taxes on people who own more than one home. Their logic? If you worked hard, saved, and bought a second apartment, you’re suddenly the enemy. The government must bleed you dry. Then, when those apartments sit empty—because who wants to pay outrageous tax bills?—they claim this is “unfair” and needs to be “fixed” by, you guessed it, taking those properties away for public use.
Liberals claim this is all about “affordable housing.” Don’t be fooled. What’s really happening is a war on property rights. First, they drive up the cost to own with endless regulations and taxes. Then they point to empty homes as proof that “capitalism failed.” The only so-called solution? Massive government intervention and redistribution. It’s the oldest socialist trick in the book. Today it’s luxury condos—tomorrow it’s your family home.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking. These same liberals preach about “freedom” and “choice,” but turn around and support schemes designed to pressure people out of property they’ve worked for. The politicians and activists pushing these policies, like Mayor Mamdani and the DSA crowd, act like heroes while they chip away at the American Dream. All the while, their globalist friends keep their own fortunes safe, untouched by the laws they force on everyone else.
This is exactly how socialism creeps in—slowly, then all at once. First, it’s “tax the rich” and “freeze the rent.” Next, the government grabs what it wants and leaves ordinary families with nothing. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s about “fairness.” It’s about control. Are we really going to stand by while leftists write the rules to take what doesn’t belong to them?
