As America marks 250 years since we told King George to shove it, the United Kingdom is bumbling its way through a lesson on why we were right to leave their broken system behind. Just look across the pond. Britain’s Labour Party is in chaos—top leaders swapping faster than liberal talking points before an election. Meanwhile, the country flounders, unable to find its footing or deliver anything but more of the same. Is this the “enlightened” European democracy the globalist elites drool over?
Liberals here love to sneer at our system, whining about the so-called “dysfunction” in Washington. But when America has a problem, the world pays attention. When Britain has a problem, it’s committee after committee and leadership games while their economy chugs toward disaster. Their Parliament is nothing but a circus—a panel of self-important career politicians more obsessed with party power than fixing anything for real people.
This is what happens when government turns into a playground for leftists and their big-government buddies. Labour wants every promise and program under the sun, but can’t even hold its own house together. They’ve mumbled and bumbled through energy crises, economic slumps, and surging crime, but still preach about “progress.” Is it any wonder British pride is at an all-time low?
Americans should never forget: our Founders saw Parliament in action and said, “No thanks.” Instead, they built a constitutional Republic that values checks, balances, and the voice of the people—not just party elites in smoky boardrooms. That drive for real freedom is what makes us stronger, no matter what europhiles in Ivy League lounges say.
The left would love for America to look more like Europe. But watching the Labour Party’s pitiful power grab should remind every patriot why we broke free in the first place. Who needs Parliament’s chaos when you can have real American leadership? Maybe it’s time Washington stops copying Europe and starts acting like the shining city on a hill again.
