The Left Has Poisoned the American Dream
For generations, the American Dream fired up this country. It was simple: anyone—no matter where they started—could get ahead if they worked hard, acted with character, and took responsibility. America wasn’t handing out comfort or trophies just for showing up. It handed out opportunity, not guarantees.
So what happened? Liberals, bureaucrats, and their Ivy League cronies rebranded the Dream into a cheap participation prize. Today, the elite class teaches kids that wanting something is the same as deserving it. If someone fails, it’s never their own choices; it’s always “the system” or some phantom injustice. Everyone’s a victim, but no one takes ownership.
This didn’t happen by accident. Big government started handing out entitlements in the 1960s, slapping band-aids on problems they created and teaching generations to expect easy handouts instead of working for a better life. Schools bought into junk psychology, pushing “self-esteem” over actual achievement. Commercials started selling the lie that you’re special just because you exist, not because you’ve earned it. Suddenly, decades of American grit could be replaced with vision boards, magical thinking, and blaming your country when things didn’t fall into your lap.
Look around: millions still sweat and sacrifice to build a future for their families. But their work is overshadowed by a culture that worships feelings and craves immediate rewards. College degrees, once earned by sweat, are now seen as automatic tickets to success—even if they cost a lifetime of debt and offer worthless credentials. When reality strikes, the same crowd that rejected personal effort freak out and demand bailouts. Apparently, bad decisions deserve government rescue, courtesy of the taxpayer.
America got great because it celebrated ascent, not entitlement. Now, the left tells us you can skip the climb and ride the elevator straight to the top—no struggle, no self-improvement, no backbone required. That’s a lie. The American Dream is about racing uphill, not waiting for some politician, activist, or “manifestation coach” to do the hard work for you.
Time for this country to remember how to earn things again. Otherwise, why should our kids even bother believing in the Dream? Maybe that’s exactly what the globalist elites want.
