LA politicians tried to secretly let noncitizens vote and hoped you would never find out

The Los Angeles City Council thinks voters are stupid. That’s the only way to explain their latest embarrassing flop. Not long ago, they tried to sneak through a plan that would let noncitizens vote in city elections. Yes, you read that right—the people in charge of LA wanted to hand the ballots over to foreigners. Not Americans, not legal citizens, but anyone who managed to set foot in the city.

It gets worse. When the council first pushed this outrageous scheme, they tried to keep it quiet. No press conferences, no honest debate—just the classic, shady backroom politics we’ve come to expect from California’s liberal elite. It was an insult to every American who believes voting is a sacred, hard-earned right. But guess what? Their secret didn’t stay hidden for long. Word got out. Regular folks—who actually care about this country—saw what was happening, and they were furious.

Suddenly, the council’s brave new world looked a lot less appealing—at least in public. Facing blowback, every last council member sprinted away from their own scheme. Not one of them wanted their fingerprints on it anymore. They all pretended it never happened. But the damage was already done. Once again, the left tried to shove their globalist agenda down America’s throat, and once again, they got caught.

Letting noncitizens vote isn’t just wrong—it’s reckless. It erases the meaning of citizenship. It’s a slap in the face to every immigrant who did things the right way, worked hard, and earned the right to call themselves an American. It’s also a gift to international interests who would love nothing more than to meddle in America’s future. Why bother with borders or laws at all if anyone can roll in and vote?

Californians deserve better than leaders who plot against their own voters. LA’s anti-American stunt shows the far left will stop at nothing to get more power—even if it means throwing out the basic rules of democracy. How many times do we have to fight off this insanity before they get the message? Just who does the LA City Council really work for, anyway?
