Every day, Americans are told to love their country—until a proud patriot actually shows it. That’s exactly what happened to Pennsylvania State Representative Eric Davanzo. This Republican dared to wear a suit jacket decked out in the iconic red and white stripes, with a blue tie covered in white stars. In other words, he walked onto the House floor looking like the American flag itself. The response from the so-called “leaders” in Harrisburg? They kicked him out. That’s right—the halls of government are apparently allergic to a little bit of patriotism.
It would almost be funny, if it weren’t so pathetic. When did the American flag become such a dangerous symbol? Liberals claim to support American values, but the minute those values become visible, they get nervous. They let politicians mumble and slouch in their seats, but God forbid someone shows up looking proud to be an American. They’d rather see the rainbow flag or some meaningless slogan than the red, white, and blue.
This isn’t just about fashion. It’s about respect for the country. The left has turned love for America into something controversial. They bend over backwards to accommodate every fringe ideology, but get offended by a simple tribute to our flag. It’s clear—anything that reminds them of our freedoms, our traditions, or our history doesn’t belong in their vision of America. Meanwhile, these same people have no problem with lawmakers breaking decorum with stunts and costumes that push their own agenda.
Eric Davanzo is a symbol of what real representation should look like. He’s one of the rare politicians willing to show his pride out in the open—no apologies, no tiptoeing. His so-called “crime” wasn’t disrespect; it was simply loving this country in a way that actually means something. That’s a threat to the anti-American crowd, the globalists, and the career politicians who would rather apologize for America than celebrate it.
Maybe that’s the real reason the left can’t stand displays like Davanzo’s suit. They don’t want Americans to remember what unity, pride, and the star-spangled banner actually stand for. If the American flag can’t even be worn in our own statehouses, what’s next? Maybe these big government gatekeepers will ban red and blue neckties too—just to keep us all in line.
