Joe Biden: The “Good Guy” Who Shattered America’s Trust
The truth is finally out, and it’s uglier than even most conservatives predicted. Joe Biden—the so-called institutionalist, the champion of decency, Mr. “Return to Normalcy”—has left the nation’s so-called sacred institutions in ruins. After decades on the public stage, Biden’s legacy is not dignity, but destruction. For all the sympathy his illness deserves, America can’t afford to forget what his presidency did to the core of our republic.
Biden made his career with the image of the calm traditionalist, the wise old chairman promising trust in the American system. The left loved to parade him as a statesman back in the ‘90s. But behind all that ceremonial pageantry was a simple fact: Voters never actually wanted him. He spent decades trying—and failing—to convince the public to make him president, flopping in primaries again and again. No popularity, no mandate—just backroom schemes and political patronage.
When Obama plucked him from obscurity to be his running mate, Biden changed overnight. Suddenly he was “Mr. Relatable,” jogging on stage, trying to mask his advanced age and frequent stumbles. What followed was a nonstop PR campaign, as if image could make up for a career with little real leadership. Even as vice president, he dodged his chance for an open contest against Hillary, hiding behind his grief while protecting his ego from almost certain defeat.
Once in the Oval Office, Biden’s hypocrisy exploded. He trashed Trump’s tough talk, only to spew his own thuggish rhetoric—showing America that his much-touted “decency” was nothing but an act. Worse, when questions swirled about his son’s shady foreign deals, Biden circled the wagons. And in one of the most outrageous abuses of power in modern history, he handed his son a sweeping pardon right before stepping down, supposedly to shelter him from “politics.” The man who posed as a guardian of Justice trashed the rulebook the second it suited his family.
The final blow came when Biden’s mental frailty could no longer be denied. Instead of letting Democrats choose a new nominee, he handed the torch straight to Kamala Harris with zero input from the voters. No primaries, no debates, just pure backroom coronation. All that talk about defending democracy? Gone in a heartbeat when party control was at stake. The Democrats exposed themselves as a club of insiders, not defenders of the people’s will.
Biden sold America a lie—that he stood for process, principle, and the public good. In reality, he was the last man to actually care about those things. The second power, family, or the party were on the line, he did what all weak-kneed politicians do: He put himself first. That’s the real story of Joe Biden—a self-serving machine politician dressed up as Grandpa America, who left our institutions weaker than ever. How much longer will voters fall for the act?
