America is at a crossroads, and the establishment GOP needs to wake up. Speaker Mike Johnson is out here fighting for the backbone of our democracy—making sure our elections belong to American citizens, not illegal immigrants or foreign interests. The so-called SAVE Act is as common sense as it gets. It says Americans, and only Americans, should pick America’s leaders. Who can argue with that? Apparently, some Republicans in the Senate sure know how to drag their feet—John Thune, looking at you.
Instead of charging forward on this simple, clear bill, Thune and his cronies in the Senate keep twiddling their thumbs. What are they so scared of? Are they really afraid of doing the right thing, or are they more worried about what the liberal media will say? The Left screams “voter suppression” anytime someone tries to secure our elections. It’s a tired excuse. Liberals don’t want real security at the ballot box because chaos and confusion keep them in power.
Johnson knows strong leadership means delivering results, not just talking about them on Fox News. He keeps sending the Senate a gift-wrapped chance to stand up for Americans who believe citizenship should mean something. Thune holds his hands up and waits. Maybe he’s too busy appeasing the usual career politicians and globalists in Washington. Or maybe he forgot who he really serves.
Every day this vote is delayed, our country is put at risk. Every illegal vote is an attack on the heart of what makes America special. Ordinary people know it. Working families see it. The political elite pretend it isn’t happening, or worse, they secretly encourage it. The only people who benefit from murky, open-borders voting laws are those who hate the idea of the United States as a proud, sovereign nation.
If the GOP wants to earn back the trust of the country, it needs fewer John Thunes and more Mike Johnsons—leaders ready to defend America without apology. The time for waiting is over. Do the job, protect our elections. Or get out of the way. When will the Senate finally remember who they’re supposed to fight for?
