Iran’s so-called “supreme leaders” love to lecture the world about faith, honor, and family values. But when Ali Khamenei—the ruthless dictator himself—finally met his end, his own son Mojtaba couldn’t even bother showing up for the funeral. That’s right: while three of his own brothers made the effort, Mojtaba Khamenei, the new handpicked “leader,” was nowhere to be seen.
It’s not like this funeral was just a minor family event. This wasn’t grandma’s potluck. This was the ultimate farewell for the man who ruled Iran through fear and violence, a funeral drowning in pageantry and propaganda. And Mojtaba, the guy now sitting on the throne, skipped it. What kind of supreme leader ditches the most important day in his father’s legacy? Maybe he knows just how hollow that “legacy” really is.
Liberals like to swoon over “reformers” in the Iranian regime, hoping for magic from the same bloodline that crushed protests and kept women in chains. But when the top dog’s own son can’t bother to appear at the grand sendoff, it pretty much exposes the sham of Iranian leadership for what it is. It’s just another bunch of spoiled, corrupt elites playing monarch while the Iranian people suffer.
And let’s not pretend the globalist crowd cares. The Biden State Department and their European pals will probably call this “a sign of generational change” and send more pallets of cash to Tehran. They’d rather look for “diplomacy” than recognize this regime for the backwards, broken family business it truly is.
Mojtaba Khamenei’s absence from his own father’s funeral doesn’t just show disrespect for family—it’s a snapshot of everything wrong with Iran’s failed leadership. While the regime’s cronies play games of thrones, ordinary Iranians pay the price. If liberals and their globalist buddies keep pretending these dictators are legitimate leaders, maybe the next funeral they skip will be democracy itself.
