There’s always talk about America’s “youth problem,” but the latest leftist stunt takes things past the point of no return. Imagine a former staffer for Elizabeth Warren — fresh out of the Ivy League pipeline, raised in the bubble of Boston universities, hailed as a progressive darling — turning up at the funeral of Iran’s Islamist dictator. Yes, that’s the same Iran where brave women are beaten for daring to show their hair and ordinary citizens are slaughtered for demanding freedom. But to the far-Left, none of that matters if you hate America enough.
Calla Walsh, just 22, stepped straight onto Iranian state TV to sing the praises of one of the world’s worst tyrants. She didn’t talk about the women crushed under Khamenei’s regime or the rivers of blood from his crackdown on protests. No, her focus was hating America and blaming Israel for the world’s problems. She even covered herself head-to-toe to play the part, acting like she stood for “the oppressed” while cozying up with their actual oppressors. When a privileged American is calling the Ayatollah a hero, you know the left’s moral compass is not just broken — it’s pointing straight at insanity.
This isn’t just one fringe activist going off the rails. It’s a warning sign for what’s festering inside the left. For years, the Democrats have propped up radicals, spoon-feeding them anti-American poison in elite schools and activist circles. They wrap it up as “justice” and “anti-imperialism,” but they can’t even condemn open tyranny when it means attacking the country that gave them every opportunity. How ironic. These same spoiled activists shriek about “genocide,” all while ignoring — or even excusing — the real ones.
What’s even more twisted? Walsh says her true radicalization came during the 2020 riots in America. She called those nights of burning, looting, and fighting with police her turning point. She didn’t get radicalized by terrorist recruiters or foreign social media. No — the streets of Democrat-run cities and the constant stream of anti-police, anti-America rhetoric did the trick. This is exactly how the left’s extreme pipeline works, churning out soldiers for the causes of socialism, division, and destruction. And they’re proud of it.
America is supposed to be celebrating its 250th birthday — but instead, it’s fighting a homegrown movement determined to take it down from within. This crowd despises everything this country stands for. They wear masks for foreign dictators, cheer on chaos, and somehow think they’re the good guys. Maybe the real question is: if the left loves America’s enemies so much, why do they stick around at all?
