Liberal elites want to crown themselves rulers and steal your freedom

America was founded to reject kings and tyrants, not to bring back the dusty old rule of monarchs or self-proclaimed philosophers. Yet, somehow, the liberal elite keep daydreaming about power structures that only work for the chosen few—and always at the expense of everyday Americans. This should set off alarm bells for anyone who loves freedom.

History is littered with failed experiments: monarchies where a crown dictated the lives of millions, philosopher-kings who thought only the smartest—or let’s be honest, the most arrogant—should rule over us, and arrogant aristocracies who handed out privilege like Halloween candy for their friends. Liberals today drool over these systems. They glamorize a “wise” ruling class and pretend regular citizens can’t be trusted with major decisions. But America was never built on the idea that a handful of elites know best. Far from it.

The left always claims they want democracy, but in reality, their love affair with globalism, bureaucracy, and “experts” runs deep. They want a big D.C. playground where faceless committees dictate every ounce of our lives. They call it “progress,” but it’s nothing more than a modern aristocracy—unelected, unaccountable, and drunk on power. Meanwhile, the commonwealths and republics, as our founders set up, put the citizen in the driver’s seat. That terrifies liberals. Why? Because they can’t stand the thought of Americans thinking for themselves.

Look around at what happens when liberals run the show. Bureaucratic madness. More taxes, bloated agencies, and ever-shrinking freedoms. They talk about “serving the public,” but end up serving themselves and their globalist friends. Just look at their endless appetite for regulation, mandates, and woke nonsense. The system our founders gave us—a republic—is the enemy of all that. It puts a chokehold on tyrants, shuts down arrogance, and demands leaders listen to the people, not the so-called experts.

Here’s a radical idea: America needs less king-making and more liberty. Don’t kid yourself—there are powerful interests out there desperate to drag the country back to a system where a tiny group rules over the rest of us. They cloak it in sweet-sounding words, but the result is always the same: freedom takes a hit. Will Americans stand up and defend our republic? Or will we hand the keys back to a ruling class with a new name and the same old tricks?
