Is anyone really surprised that, just days after Americans celebrated the 250th birthday of our great nation, the liberal elite started whining about how awful things are in the United States? They can’t stand it when true patriots take pride in our country. They missed their golden chance to turn a milestone celebration into another lecture about racism and division. Instead, the whole world watched as Americans cheered for freedom, honor, and everything that makes the U.S. the best nation on earth.
So, what does the Left do next? They trot out tired old talking points about supposed “white supremacy,” trying to distract from Americans coming together. Their game is always the same: smear anyone who doesn’t fit their narrative and pretend there’s a crisis when there isn’t. This time, their ally in the media circus claims that America should remake itself in the image of a tiny European nation like Norway. You heard that right—one of the most privileged voices in liberal media thinks we should follow the path of a country with a population barely bigger than a mid-sized U.S. city.
There’s just one problem—America isn’t Norway, and thank God for that. The United States is a vast, diverse nation of over 330 million people. Norway is racially homogeneous, small, and built on oil wealth the Left wants to ban. These “progressive” dreamers never mention that part. They demand America drop fossil fuels, but Norway hasn’t. Liberals like to praise Nordic socialism until it clashes with their green agenda—then, suddenly, the details don’t matter.
And here’s the kicker: the same liberals who yap about moving to Norway or Sweden never actually buy a plane ticket. They stay right here, enjoying the freedoms they claim don’t exist and the prosperity they refuse to appreciate. If Norway is so perfect, why do they stick around in America? Because deep down, they all know the truth—nothing compares to this country, not even close.
So, on America’s 250th, let’s stop letting the leftist crowd tear us down with gloom and doom. The real “malaise” belongs to folks who can’t stand that America is still thriving, still free, and still the light of the world. If some columnist wants to pretend he’d rather be Norwegian, let him. The rest of us will be too busy celebrating what’s RIGHT about our country. Instead of pining for socialism and lectures from Scandinavian bureaucrats, Americans should ask: if liberals hate it here so much, what’s keeping them from buying that one-way ticket out?
