Yet somehow, liberals pretend there’s nothing wrong with their so-called leaders. If a conservative so much as sneezes, it’s headline news for weeks. But when their own get caught, suddenly it’s all crickets and cover-ups.
Let’s be real here—Platner’s campaign was already drowning in scandal. Now, with an accusation this serious, the Democrats are hoping everyone will just look the other way. They’ll trot out their tired excuses, call it a “smear,” and act like Platner is the real victim. This has become the liberal playbook: deny, deflect, distract. Well, Americans are tired of it. Maine deserves better than another corrupt politician who can’t even respect basic decency.
What about all that talk from Democrats about “believing women” and “holding powerful men accountable”? That was only ever aimed at conservatives. When their own are accused, it’s a different story.
