California’s Liberal Leaders Wage War Against High School Mascots
California’s elites must think their state is a perfect utopia. The streets are clean, crime has vanished, and children get the best education in the country. Right? Wrong. Instead, California’s do-nothing politicians have found a brand-new enemy to target: high school mascots, especially anything named “Indians.”
With homelessness exploding, drug addiction destroying neighborhoods, and taxes crushing the middle class, Sacramento has now decided that changing mascot names is the most important problem on earth. The people in charge think they’ll fix California by erasing a simple word from a football jersey. This is how out-of-touch liberal leaders are with real-world problems.
It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so embarrassing. Schools are scrambling, wasting time and precious resources, just because a few out-of-state activists and wealthy donors are upset at decades-old school traditions. Who benefits from this crusade? Not the students, not the parents, and certainly not the taxpayers. It’s another round of performative politics from the woke crowd who seem allergic to common sense.
Let’s set the record straight. Most folks know these mascots were never about “hate” or “racism.” They were about pride, history, and community spirit. But according to California’s out-of-touch lawmakers, every tradition must be rewritten to fit some warped, anti-American worldview. Meanwhile, the rich and powerful who are pushing this change don’t care one bit about what real Californians actually want.
This is textbook liberal hypocrisy—focusing on the pet issues of noisy activists while ignoring the state’s real problems. As long as California’s leaders keep ignoring crime, education, and family values, the mascot purge is all they have left. Maybe next they’ll try canceling the state flag. After all, for the woke liberals, pandering and virtue signaling are always more important than doing their actual jobs.
