If you ever wondered just how out of touch Democrats are with the everyday American, look no further than Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. While millions across the country were cheering on the U.S. Men’s National Team as they made soccer history, Senator Kelly was proudly flaunting a Mexican jersey and rooting for Mexico instead. This isn’t some mistake or innocent gesture—it’s the latest in a long trend of Democrats putting other countries first while snubbing the United States.
It’s not just Kelly, either. This is quickly becoming the liberal playbook. Over in New York, two other Democrats, one a sitting congressman and the other running for a seat, openly chose Mexico and Senegal as their teams of choice—completely passing over America. Imagine if this happened with Republicans. The left would be screaming about “disloyalty” and “treason.” But when the shoe’s on the other foot, the media gives these elitists a free pass.
Meanwhile, our own national team is writing its own underdog story. After decades of disappointment, these scrappy Americans finally won a knockout game, pushing the Stars and Stripes further than ever before in the World Cup. But rather than show even an ounce of national pride, Democrat politicians line up to wave foreign flags and celebrate the other side. These are leaders who are supposed to represent this country, yet when it comes time to stand up for America, they’re the first to bow out.
This is what you get with globalist Democrats. They’re embarrassed by America. They take every chance to lecture us about “diversity” and “global unity,” but when it comes to loving this country, they’re nowhere to be found. If American values and patriotism are old-fashioned, then call me old-fashioned. The left’s obsession with putting everyone else before our own citizens is exactly why they keep losing touch with real Americans.
Who’s side are these Democrats really on? Because it sure isn’t the Stars and Stripes. And here’s a question for every voter: the next time you see an elected official waving another country’s flag, cheering for a rival team, or putting America last—will you still let them claim they represent you?
