Grid survived the heatwave but Biden’s energy failures risk blackout chaos

For two brutal weeks leading up to July 4th, Americans sweated through one of the worst heat waves in recent memory. Air conditioners howled night and day, electricity meters spun like crazy, and neighborhoods across the country turned into saunas. This is what happens when summer collides with Biden’s failed energy policies and a fleet of electric vehicles sucking more and more juice from our grid.

Yet, somehow, the electric grid didn’t keel over. Folks might want to celebrate that, but don’t be so quick to cheer. Passing the “heat dome test” should be a basic expectation in the greatest country on Earth—not a headline. Politicians and liberal elites don’t get a pat on the back just because the lights stayed on while patriotic Americans did their best to shield their families from triple-digit temperatures.

But here’s the kicker: what happens next time? The same liberals who’ve spent years shutting down reliable coal and natural gas plants in favor of pie-in-the-sky green dreams now wring their hands about grid reliability. They promise us windmills and solar panels will save the day, yet when the heat bears down, it’s the old reliables—fossil fuels—that still do the heavy lifting. Ask anyone who spent July 4th inside, praying their A/C wouldn’t cut out, which energy sources actually matter when the chips are down.

Liberals love to lecture hard-working Americans about saving the planet, all while flying around on private jets and exporting American jobs to foreign countries with dirtier emissions. They want more government mandates telling you what kind of car to drive and how cold you can keep your house, but they never seem to sweat in their own climate-controlled mansions. Yet every crisis, they act shocked that their green utopia isn’t ready for prime time.

Let’s face the truth: America’s electric grid is hanging by a thread, and it’s only going to get worse if Democrats keep pushing reckless policies. We need real solutions—reliable, American energy, not “renewables” that can’t power a toaster during a heatwave. Will we learn our lesson before the next heat dome, or will we keep letting the left gamble with our comfort, our security, and our future?
