It’s almost funny, if it weren’t so disturbing. The Left never tires of preaching about “believing women”—until one of their darlings is in hot water. Just take a look at what’s happening with Graham Platner. The same Democrats who would torch a Republican for an accusation are suddenly wishy-washy when Platner faces multiple allegations of abuse and sexual misconduct. Instead of demanding he step down, Cenk Uygur runs cover for him.
Uygur’s defense isn’t rooted in facts or evidence, but in his own warped paranoia about the media and Israel. He insists this is all just a plot against an ‘outsider.’ Never mind that real women have come forward. Never mind that the accusations are serious. Uygur chooses to shout about some supposed media cabal and blames donors, globalists, and anyone who supports Israel. When it’s one of their own, the Left is ready to smear the victims and push a tired conspiracy theory.
Let’s get real: this isn’t about Platner being an “outsider.” This is about the Left circling the wagons to protect any radical who might push their woke, anti-Israel agenda. Uygur and his ilk don’t care about women’s safety. They care about power. Accusations that would send them into fits of rage if aimed at a conservative become nothing more than “propaganda” when the target is a progressive foot soldier.
Look at the facts: multiple women described Platner’s abusive behavior, provided messages, and went public. That didn’t matter to the Left. Uygur cares more about undermining Israel and demonizing Jews than he does about holding Democrats accountable for actual wrongdoing. This isn’t justice. This is power games and identity politics—nothing more.
If this were a conservative, the media mobs would have destroyed him within a day. But when it’s one of their own, suddenly it’s a “smear campaign” by shadowy interests. The hypocrisy from Uygur and his allies is astounding. How much longer are Americans supposed to put up with this double standard? Or is the truth that, for the radical Left, the only “truth” that matters is whatever helps them win?
