The so-called “mainstream media” just can’t help themselves. Barely a week goes by before another embarrassing blunder proves how lazy, careless, and downright biased these liberal outlets have become. Most Americans were still shaking their heads over public radio’s humiliating pre-written report calling for a conservative Supreme Court justice’s retirement—news that was wholly fake, by the way—when it happened AGAIN. This time, the Hill decided to tee up its own fiasco, publishing a full blown look-back on Senator Mitch McConnell’s career while he was, you know, still alive and serving.
If readers thought that was bad, wait until they hear this: the headline wasn’t even disguised. It literally screamed that the article was a “DO NOT USE” draft. So much for the high standards these woke editors love to brag about. And when the story was supposed to be deleted? Oops. It lingered on Yahoo for anyone to see. It’s almost like these corporate newsrooms are staffed by interns who can’t find the delete key.
But the real story goes deeper than simple incompetence. Leftist newsrooms jump at every opportunity to take shots at conservatives—even if they have to make it up as they go along. They’d rather write the “history” they hope to see than report what’s actually happening. No one at these outlets gets fired for jumping the gun when they try to bury a Republican. It’s just another day at the office, protected by the same globalist elites who bankroll their nonsense.
Of course, when they get caught, it’s all jokes and social media winks. “Look how silly we are,” they say, as if it’s just harmless fun to “accidentally” publish news that never happened. Imagine, for just a second, a conservative outlet doing this to a Democrat. There would be wall-to-wall outrage, breathless think-pieces, and probably a Congressional hearing or two. But when the victims are conservatives? Don’t expect an apology. Don’t even expect a correction with any real regret.
How much longer will Americans tolerate these woke clowns running the national news? Maybe next time they should just post their smear campaigns right on the front page with a “DO NOT TRUST” label. At least that would be honest for once.
