The liberal media circus is at it again, twisting itself in knots to defend one of their own. This time, it’s the left’s favorite morning show host, wringing her hands on national TV, demanding “evidence” before anyone can dare question Democrat golden boy Graham Platner. Apparently, if you’re a well-connected progressive, the rules are different. If you bear the right tattoos and whisper the right platitudes, the liberal mob lines up to cover for you—even when the accusations are as explosive as rape.
Let’s get real for a moment. A hardcore liberal, someone who loved Platner’s agenda, came forward and laid out in graphic detail what happened. She told friends, her therapist, and she told the press. That’s supposed to be enough in every other case, right? The left shouted “believe all women” from the rooftops when it suited their purposes. Now, suddenly, those standards disappear—because this time, the monster in question is wearing their team colors. The hypocrisy is blinding.
Even more pathetic is the media’s desperate effort to spin for Platner. Rather than asking why Democrats ignored these ugly rumors for so long, the liberal TV elite grilled the reporter for daring to print anything. Did they see direct messages with Platner? Actual emails? Where’s the proof? They want every T crossed and every I dotted—now, when their own candidate is at risk. Funny, that same crowd had no trouble torching conservative lives over stuff far less detailed than this.
Let’s not kid ourselves. Stories about Platner’s alleged behavior didn’t come out of nowhere. Democrat operatives and strategists have been whispering about this mess for weeks, hoping it wouldn’t blow up. But the minute a reporter dares to break news that’s inconvenient to the left’s narrative, suddenly the goalposts move. If there’s no police report, it doesn’t count! If the evidence isn’t perfect, the woman must be lying. Where was this skepticism when conservatives were being smeared on a daily basis without a shred of real evidence?
This is what the radical left does best—cry “accountability” for you, play defense for their own. While they lecture us about morality, they shield candidates with Nazi tattoos and outrageous fantasies. The double standard is sickening. Maybe the next time the woke mob lectures America about “believing women,” someone should ask why their own house is always covered in mud. When will they hold themselves to the standards they love beating the rest of us with? Or does #MeToo only matter if there’s an R next to the accused’s name?
