The Smithsonian sits proudly on the National Mall, right at the beating heart of America. You’d think a place like that would burst with love for this nation. But these days, stepping inside feels more like a lesson in self-loathing than a celebration of America’s greatness. Instead of honoring our heroes or spotlighting what makes this country special, the exhibits look more like lectures from people embarrassed to even call themselves American.
It’s clear that the so-called experts running these displays care more about signaling their woke credentials than inspiring patriotism. Why else would they go out of their way to dwell on America’s faults, while ignoring its triumphs? These museum curators act like any pride in the Stars and Stripes is somehow shameful or backward. Meanwhile, they bend over backward to highlight every mistake in our nation’s past, treating our Founding Fathers and veterans like problematic relics.
This isn’t just sad. It’s dangerous. A country that refuses to teach kids respect for its own flag is begging for weakness and division. Liberals love to pretend they care about “history,” but what they really want is to rewrite history until nothing good is left. All the while, globalist elites cheer them on—because a nation without pride is easy to control.
Are we really going to sit back and let taxpayer-funded institutions drip poison into the minds of our children? The Smithsonian was built by Americans, for Americans. Now it feels like it’s been hijacked by people who have more in common with the woke bureaucrats in Brussels than with anyone who actually loves this country.
If the folks in charge can’t stomach a little patriotism, maybe it’s time to hand the keys to someone who actually believes America is still worth celebrating. How long will we let them trash our nation’s legacy before we say enough is enough?
