The Left wants us to believe that empathy is the highest virtue. But what happens when “empathy” is hijacked by those who hate everything America stands for? We’re watching a slow-motion suicide caused by misguided compassion — a blind rush to welcome in migrants who despise our values and, in some cases, want to do us harm. This isn’t just naive. It’s dangerous. Look at Europe. Look at American cities overrun by crime and chaos. This is what happens when virtue-signaling elites put open borders and criminal “reform” ahead of protecting real Americans.
The worst part? When real empathy is needed, the Left does everything it can to destroy it. They never side with victims of radical Islamic terror — not in Israel, not here at home. Instead, these ideologues aggressively defend the perpetrators, march side by side with “protesters” who chant for the destruction of Israel, and demonize anyone who stands with Jewish Americans. Where was the outrage when Hamas slaughtered innocent Israeli families? The elites in New York and on college campuses actually cheered, or stood in silence. That is what passes for “social justice” now — celebrating brutality and spitting on the graves of the real victims.
The Left’s champions in government aren’t hiding their agenda. Just look at politicians who openly support terrorist sympathizers, or activists like Darializa Avila Chevalier — a leader in the movement to boycott, divest, and “eradicate” everything Western civilization stands for. These radicals get rewarded with congressional seats, while their followers post slogans like “Death to America” online and treat the American flag like garbage. All of it is enabled by Democrats desperate to cobble together a coalition of anti-Western voters, even if it means importing Jew-haters and communists into our own governing bodies.
Meanwhile, anyone who demands justice and security gets smeared as a “racist” or a “fascist.” The irony is thick: these same far-left activists regularly spout their own bigotry and advocate for violence against anyone who won’t bow to their demands. Respect for rule of law? Out the window. Sympathy for the families of 9/11 or October 7? Nonexistent. Compassion for Jews targeted by terrorists? Forget it — the globalists only care about “empathy” when it suits their political narratives.
Ask yourself: How much longer will America survive this war on real empathy — empathy that puts victims first and protects innocent lives? If “progressives” have their way, the only thing left to feel sorry for will be the country we once recognized. Maybe that’s exactly what they want.
