America’s border crisis just turned deadly—again. In Houston, a man here illegally from Mexico tried to run down an ICE agent with a car, and this time, he paid the ultimate price. According to federal officials, this wasn’t some peaceful immigrant looking for a better life. This was a criminal who’d rather attack law enforcement than face the consequences of breaking our laws.
The facts are clear. ICE agents stopped this illegal alien for a reason. When they gave lawful commands, he ignored them. Instead of complying, he rammed an ICE vehicle and then aimed his car right at an agent. When someone uses a deadly weapon—in this case, a moving vehicle—against law enforcement, there are consequences. The agent defended himself, and unfortunately for the criminal, that meant his days of thumbing his nose at our laws were over.
What’s truly outrageous is that this isn’t even the first time in the past week that ICE agents had to pull their weapons in self-defense. Violence against law enforcement is becoming the new normal, thanks to policies championed by woke politicians and open-borders activists. They tell us all day long about the “rights” of illegal aliens, but what about the rights of American citizens—the people who actually belong here and obey the law? Or do those rights no longer matter to the liberal elite?
Liberals love to paint ICE as the villain. They defund, demonize, and handcuff law enforcement, all while pushing for sanctuary cities and amnesty for people who have no respect for American sovereignty. When agents do their job and protect themselves, leftists clutch their pearls, crying about “excessive force.” Here’s the real truth: If you assault a federal agent—if you decide to weaponize a car—you forfeit the right for mercy. This is what strong law enforcement looks like, and frankly, we need more of it.
Those who defend our borders are under attack, not just in the streets but in the halls of Congress, by politicians who value illegal votes over innocent lives. Instead of scapegoating hardworking ICE officers, maybe the so-called progressives should start standing up for law and order. Or is that too much to ask from the “America Last” crowd? The left needs to decide: Are they on the side of violent criminals, or with the men and women risking everything for this nation?
Maybe if Democrats actually visited the neighborhoods most hurt by illegal immigration, they’d realize how desperate Americans are for common sense and security. Until then, these tragedies will keep happening—because weak leadership always leads to chaos. How many more law enforcement officers have to face down charging vehicles before liberals wake up?
