It’s becoming clearer by the day: the liberal media will bend over backwards to protect their favorite Democrats, even when multiple women come forward with credible, horrifying allegations. Just look at what’s happening right now with the Maine Senate race. Graham Platner, the Democrats’ latest golden boy, is facing not one, not two, but several allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse. And yet, what does the so-called “objective” media do? They bury the truth. They try to whitewash the claims. They make it sound like maybe it’s all just a misunderstanding.
One of Platner’s ex-girlfriends, Lyndsey Fifield, practically spoon-fed evidence to leftist journalists. She gave them the names of friends who could confirm her stories. She gave them screenshots, messages, and the names of former roommates and even men she dated who witnessed Platner’s stalking. She was even willing to share stories from pre-marital counseling, explaining how his abuse affected her life years later. But, shocker, the reporters cherry-picked the friends who wouldn’t rock the boat. They ignored anyone who could really verify what happened. It’s almost like the so-called “watchdogs” were deliberately protecting Platner, rather than uncovering the truth.
Even as another woman, Jenny Racicot, stepped forward to share her story—a disturbing account of assault and intimidation—the Democrat machine stood by Platner. The so-called defenders of women’s rights suddenly went silent. Only when the pressure from new, undeniable allegations got too big did some in the party start calling for Platner to back out. But let’s be honest. If these stories had been about a conservative, the outrage from the liberal media would be deafening. There would be wall-to-wall coverage, TV specials, and FBI investigations before sunset.
This rotten double standard is exactly why Americans are losing faith in legacy media. Their selective outrage always lines up with the interests of progressive elites. They pretend to fight for victims—unless the predator has a ‘D’ next to his name. It’s not incompetence; it’s a coordinated cover-up. Stories just happen to get softened or “uncorroborated” when Democrats are in danger, while conservative scandals get put under a microscope.
The liberal media have made it crystal clear: protecting their own power means more than standing up for victims, more than telling the truth, and more than serving the American people. Why would anyone trust a word from these globalist mouthpieces? Maybe the real question is: how many more women have to be hurt before the left finally cares?
