Media tried to spark outrage over DC Metro photo but Americans just laughed and moved on

Every once in a while, the Left finds a photo so dramatic they think it’ll send shockwaves across America. The latest? A black woman, alone, surrounded by alleged “white nationalists” on the DC Metro during Fourth of July weekend. Predictably, liberal pundits and big media tried to make this snapshot the next outrage of the week. But guess what? Almost no one cared. While they tried to whip up another race panic, regular folks were out grilling hot dogs, laughing with friends, and actually *enjoying* Independence Day. Imagine that.

For all the hand-wringing, the so-called white nationalist group at the center of this circus isn’t just laughable—it’s downright suspicious. These guys pop up now and then, always in places that reek of FBI entrapment schemes. Online, people have long mocked them as a government creation—because let’s face it, real Americans have never even heard of these guys outside media hysteria. Remember when more of these supposed “supremacists” showed up in Idaho than the town’s actual population? It’s not a movement. It’s a bad joke.

Instead of covering actual news, leftwing outlets scrambled to track down the black woman in the photo—Bernita Bowlding, a 33-year-old mother. Her family wasn’t bothered by the political circus—they were just worried for her safety and well-being, given her very real mental health struggles. That part, of course, gets glossed over when there’s an opportunity to push the “America is racist” narrative. Never mind the facts, just shove the story into a neat, divisive package.

Of course, it’s much easier for activists and their media buddies to project their fantasies onto an innocent woman struggling with her own challenges. Rather than question the legitimacy of these so-called “movements,” or the government’s role in orchestrating scares, the media treats every staged photo-op like it’s 1963 Birmingham. Meanwhile, Americans see right through it. The only people buying what’s being sold are the desperate editorial boards in crumbling newsrooms across the country.

The truth is simple: most Americans aren’t scared or even interested in their made-for-Twitter race-baiting stunts. The only thing more exhausting than their predictable outrage cycles is their relentless refusal to cover issues that actually matter—like skyrocketing crime, inflation, and the real threats facing our nation. Maybe it’s time the media stopped inventing monsters and started covering reality. Or is that just too much to ask from these professionally offended leftists?
