Senate Democrats push woke agenda risking military strength to score political points

Senate Democrats are at it again. This time, they’re going after the military with their latest scheme to put politics above the national interest. Led by Jon Ossoff from Georgia, a band of leftwing senators is pressuring Secretary of War Pete Hegseth for details that used to be nobody’s business but the Pentagon’s. Now they want a play-by-play of every promotion and demotion, every decision that keeps our armed forces strong. Why? Because they’re obsessed with identity politics.

The liberals aren’t asking about military readiness or America’s ability to face our enemies abroad. Instead, they’re begging for spreadsheets. They want charts spelling out the race, gender, and background of every officer getting promoted. Whatever happened to promoting heroes for strength, skill, and service? These Democrats would rather pick leaders based on how well they check a diversity box.

Let’s be honest. This isn’t about fairness or fixing any real problem in our Armed Forces. It’s about control. The left wants to inject their radical ideology straight into the heart of the military, where politics and favoritism should never overpower duty and merit. If they get their way, more good men and women will be passed up for promotions—not because of what they’ve done on the battlefield, but because they don’t fit some progressive quota.

The hypocrisy here is staggering. The same liberals who scream about civilian “interference” when it suits them are now demanding to micromanage the Pentagon’s every move. They’re not protecting national security. They’re risking it for the sake of another woke victory lap. Real leaders know when to let the professionals do their job. Apparently, that’s a lesson lost on today’s Democrat party.

Americans see what’s happening. The left is willing to weaken the chain of command just to signal their virtue. If they don’t trust our war heroes to make sound decisions, maybe it’s time to ask who these Democrats really serve. Our great nation—or their globalist pals and activist donors on the coasts?
