There’s a dangerous lie running wild these days—one that says every American has a “right” to employment, as if Uncle Sam and the Almighty himself have nothing better to do than hand out paychecks. The radical left pushes this idea, hoping to turn everyone into a permanent member of God’s imaginary “HR department,” doling out jobs as if they’re birthrights. It’s nonsense. Work isn’t doled out from the clouds—it’s earned the hard way, with sweat, drive, and grit.
Some progressives talk as if landing a job is as basic as breathing. They twist the Founding Fathers’ words, pretending “the pursuit of happiness” means the government owes you a paycheck and benefits. But what about personal responsibility? What about earning your keep and making your own way in the world, without waiting for some bureaucrat—or worse, some smug globalist—to cut you a check? That’s the American spirit the left wants to snuff out.
Every time liberals insist that “employment” is some kind of human right, they ignore a simple truth: Nobody, not even our Creator, guaranteed you’d always have a job. That’s part of freedom—being responsible for your own success or failure. But the globalist elite and their woke foot soldiers want to erase that. Why? Because a nation that expects government to do everything is a nation on its knees—easy to control, easy to silence, easy to crush.
Just look at what big-government policies have done across the world. Socialism destroys work ethic. Government handouts kill ambition. Yet, the American left is eager to export the same anti-American nonsense to our towns and cities, one job-killing regulation at a time. They want us to believe that prosperity comes from Washington, not from God, family, and determination.
So the real question is: Will Americans stand up for the right to work—and the right to fail? Or will we hand over our futures to Big Brother, trading liberty for false security, until no one remembers what it means to earn a living? If the choice is between rugged independence and becoming a cog in the globalist welfare machine, the answer should be obvious. If you want freedom, you’d better stop acting like a member of God’s HR department—and start acting like an American.
