It never fails—just when you think the Democratic Party couldn’t shock you anymore, one of their rising stars falls right into a new scandal. This time it’s Graham Platner, a Senate candidate out of Maine. Instead of focusing on issues that matter, Platner is busy dodging disturbing claims from a former girlfriend. She says he removed condoms during sex without her consent. Someone tell me again how Democrats are supposed to be the party of women?
Liberals love to paint themselves as champions of consent, MeToo, and respect. Yet here is one of their own caught in conduct that’s not only disrespectful, but downright dangerous. Where is the outrage from the left? When it’s a Republican, they howl and demand heads to roll. But when it’s a Democrat, the silence is deafening. That’s the double standard we see from the elites time and again.
The Democrats keep promising the American people that their candidates are ethical and trustworthy. But time and time again, the “do as I say, not as I do” crowd gets exposed. This is the same party obsessed with controlling everyone else’s personal lives but can’t control their own. If these folks can’t act responsibly in private, how can they possibly lead in public office?
Sadly, this is just more proof that the left talks big about “respecting women” but doesn’t live up to their own standards. The globalist media machine will probably bury this story while smearing any conservative who looks at them wrong. Americans deserve leaders who have basic decency. Yet the Democrats just keep trotting out disaster after disaster, expecting voters to fall in line.
Let’s be real: if Graham Platner had an “R” after his name, this accusation would be on every front page and every liberal news anchor would be frothing at the mouth. Isn’t it time the left started following the rules they set for the rest of us? Or do they just want power at any cost—even if it means turning a blind eye to their own hypocrisy?
