Why the WNBA is sabotaging Caitlin Clark and turning its back on the future of the league

The WNBA is blowing its big shot. They finally have a star with real swagger, talent, and the power to boost ratings—Caitlin Clark. Yet instead of lifting her up, league insiders and jealous players are doing everything possible to drag her down. It’s crystal clear: women’s basketball is biting the hand that could save it.

Look at what’s happening in games. Night after night, Clark gets targeted with rough fouls, nasty trash talk, and zero support from so-called veterans. These “role models” act like mean girls on a schoolyard, not professionals. Her rookie year should be a red carpet event. Instead, it’s a gauntlet. Where’s the sisterhood now? Nowhere to be found.

Why the venom? Because Clark isn’t just another player doing the bare minimum. She’s a walking highlight reel, crushing records, drawing huge crowds, and—maybe most threatening for the woke crowd—she’s not afraid to be herself. The left loves to preach about diversity and breaking barriers, but apparently that doesn’t apply to a Midwestern white woman with talent to spare. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious.

Meanwhile, the league bigwigs keep fumbling. Rather than protect their top asset, they pander to petty politics and jealous cliques. Globalist commish Cathy Engelbert and her cronies seem more focused on checking boxes than growing the game. Their silence, or worse, their excuses, scream of cowardice and incompetence. The NBA would never let its stars get bullied off the court. Why should WNBA fans tolerate that kind of mismanagement?

America has always loved an underdog who rises above the haters. The WNBA has a chance to be part of something huge. So why do they act like supporting Clark is a threat? Maybe it’s just more of that classic liberal self-sabotage—resist success, attack individuality, and let petty jealousy rule the day. If these so-called leaders don’t wake up, they’ll destroy the one thing that could finally make women’s basketball matter. How long will “progressive” sports bosses keep kneecapping their greatest asset—and why do they hate winners?
