Democrats love to shout that they are defending democracy. They talk big about the will of the people—right up until voters do something the Left doesn’t like. Then, suddenly, the rules change, courtrooms open, and ballots get shredded. It’s not enough that Democrats control most of the media, most of the bureaucracy, and most of the education system. No, now they want total control over our elections too.
Look back at what happened with marriage laws. Over thirty states, red, blue, and everything in between, voted to keep marriage between one man and one woman. These were the voices of the people, speaking loud and clear. Did that matter to Democrats? Not even a little. They just skipped over democracy and ran to the Supreme Court, where five unelected elites wiped away every one of those votes. That’s what the Left calls “progress.”
Then came President Trump. The man won the White House fair and square. Not only did he win in 2016, but after years of crooked witch hunts, ballot tricks, and lawfare in 2024, Trump walked away with a clear popular vote win. So what did the Democrats do? The impeachments started on day one. Activist judges tried to throw him in jail or strike him from ballots. Meanwhile, the Left screamed about “threats to democracy,” while doing everything in their power to overturn the will of the millions who voted for Trump. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious.
But maybe the ugliest move they’ve made is swapping out their own candidates when the race doesn’t go their way. Forget the voters—Dems just decide behind closed doors who gets to run. Biden is the perfect example. For years, conservatives warned the guy was out of touch, confused, and just plain unfit for the job. The Left laughed it off, feeding the public phony stories about a “sharp as a tack” president. It wasn’t until the polls tanked after the June 2024 debate that party bosses finally pulled the plug and pushed for a new nominee—they didn’t care about Joe’s health, just their own power.
It’s the same story in Maine. Voters picked their candidate in the Democratic primary—warts and all. But the party elites didn’t like the result, so a backroom convention will pick a new face to hand to voters like a party favor. The message is clear: regular Americans can take a hike if the Left’s plans aren’t working out.
Democrats have shown their true colors. When votes go their way, they wrap themselves in the flag, preaching about democracy and norms. When they lose, they sue, swap candidates, change the rules, or just ignore the results entirely. Add in their schemes to pack the Supreme Court, add new blue states, and open the borders for millions of new voters, and it’s obvious what’s happening. Liberals aren’t defending democracy—they’re strangling it, bit by bit. Are Americans supposed to sit back and let them hijack our country? Or is it finally time to admit who’s really the enemy of the people?
