Maine Democrat Implodes in Scandal Nightmare Boosts Susan Collins Chances

Maine Democrats thought they had their guy to take down Senator Susan Collins. But now their so-called “rising star” has tripped over his own sorry record. Graham Platner, the Democrats’ hand-picked challenger, went down in flames after a tidal wave of scandals finally caught up with him. We’re not just talking a skeleton or two in the closet—this guy had an overflowing graveyard.

It’s hard to keep track of all Platner’s scandals. For starters, he faced chilling accusations, including rape and domestic abuse. Did he have any answers? Only the usual denials and finger-pointing. Instead of apologizing, Platner tried to claim he was a victim of PTSD, as if that explains away his mess of graphic online posts. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s the issue of that Nazi tattoo. He blames “not knowing what it meant.” Seriously? Have Maine Democrats gotten so desperate they’ll cozy up to anyone willing to run against a Republican?

Once again, the left shows its total lack of judgment. Democrats love preaching about values—until it’s one of their own in hot water. Then they make excuses. They were happy to cheer Platner on as long as he wasn’t exposed. Now, they’re scrambling for a replacement, hoping voters forget the circus they just watched.

Meanwhile, Susan Collins looks stronger than ever. If Platner’s the best they’ve got, Democrats in Maine are in serious trouble—and they know it. Their woke machine tried to push forward a deeply flawed candidate and got burned. That’s what happens when you put left-wing activism over basic decency. The Democrat bench is as thin as their loyalty to average Mainers.

The only real “favor” Platner did was proving how low Democrats will sink to push their agenda. Maybe next time, they’ll try picking someone who actually respects the people of Maine. Or maybe the circus is just getting started. Is anyone on that side even remotely fit for office?
