It’s almost laughable at this point. The New York Times published a wild op-ed accusing Israel of using dogs to attack and sexually abuse Palestinian prisoners. Anyone with a brain knew right away this smelled like old-fashioned blood libel, recycled for a new generation of leftist rage addicts. While Hamas was actually committing horrific sexual violence, the so-called “paper of record” was busy pushing anti-Israel trash straight out of a terrorist propaganda playbook.
Timing is everything. The Times ran this fantasy piece just as true stories of Hamas raping Israeli women were coming to light. Yet instead of focusing on real, documented abuse, the liberal elites at the Times chose to amplify a pack of anonymous sources and “witnesses”—many tied directly to Hamas. Facts be damned, as long as it fits their narrative. Don’t forget, this is the same paper that refused to publish a credible report on Hamas atrocities, but had no problem running a screed aimed at Israel.
Now, after public outrage erupted, a top Times editor is backpedaling. He says he wouldn’t have published that exact column if he were in charge. Of course he wouldn’t. The backlash was so fierce even the New York Times had to distance themselves from their own hit job. But they still refuse to admit the obvious: they ran with fiction because it fit their agenda. When pressed, instead of apologizing, they play games—calling it “opinion journalism” and hiding behind the label.
It’s the oldest trick in the leftist media handbook. Dress up an opinion as “journalism” when it suits your mission, but claim immunity from facts when you get caught. The Times wants us to believe they’re rigorous and trustworthy, but who are they kidding? Real investigations rely on evidence, not rumors whispered by terror group mouthpieces. They want the credibility of reporting and the freedom of pushing propaganda—depending on which side gets them the most clicks.
How long will people let these media giants push the lies of our enemies while ignoring actual violence committed by terrorists? This isn’t journalism. It’s an assault on the truth, and another reason Americans should never trust the globalist press. When the left gets caught spreading obvious slander, they’d rather double down than come clean. Why keep defending the indefensible, unless the agenda matters more than the facts?
