Texas just crushed in-state tuition for illegal immigrants and liberals are furious

The Fifth Circuit just drew a hard line in the sand—and it’s about time. For years, Texas taxpayers have been forced to watch illegal aliens get a handout in the form of in-state college tuition, while hardworking American families—many of them Texans—pay through the nose. This so-called “Dream Act” never made sense to anyone who actually respects the rule of law. Finally, the courts stepped in to remind everyone that American citizenship still means something.

Liberal politicians and open-borders activists love giving away every advantage they can to lawbreakers. They call it compassion, but the truth is, it’s just a slap in the face to every citizen and legal immigrant who plays by the rules. The federal government has clear authority over immigration, so states like Texas shouldn’t be allowed to reward people for sneaking into the country. The judges saw right through this sham policy and shut it down.

This ruling isn’t just about Texas. It’s a message to every left-leaning state trying to cozy up to illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded perks. If you come here illegally, you don’t get the same benefits as citizens—it’s that simple. The decision forces Texas universities to charge illegal aliens out-of-state tuition, cutting off a gravy train that never should have existed in the first place. The only people who lose are the ones who broke our laws to get here.

It’s also worth noting how this exposed the anti-American agenda from the liberal side. The Department of Justice, under the previous administration, tried to keep the free ride going—just more evidence that the left cares more about global interests than American kids struggling to afford college. Their priorities are all backwards, and real Americans see right through it.

The rule of law just won a big one in Texas, and the rest of the country should pay attention. Secure the border. Stop the handouts. If Democrats want to give away the store to illegal aliens, they can pack up and move to a country that rewards lawlessness. Is it too much to ask that America puts her own citizens first?
