Michigan’s Democrat governor Gretchen Whitmer just pardoned a convicted murderer. You read that right. She gave a free pass to an Albanian refugee who shot and killed a man in Detroit. Instead of putting American safety first, liberals are falling over themselves to protect violent criminals—so long as they’re not citizens.
Why would Whitmer make this move? It’s simple. The man she pardoned was really facing one thing: deportation. He wasn’t an American citizen. The Biden administration started the process to kick him out based on his murder conviction from the 1970s. But Whitmer’s pardon erases that conviction and gives him a golden ticket to stay. Apparently, Democrats would rather side with a foreign criminal than see justice done for Americans.
This is the same disgusting playbook we’ve seen before. Just look at what happened in Minnesota, where another Democrat governor pardoned an illegal alien who assaulted a child—all just to shield him from being sent home. And while federal officials in that case stepped in and actually got rid of the predator, the message from blue state leaders is crystal clear: they will bend over backwards to keep illegal aliens on U.S. soil, no matter how ugly their crimes.
Liberals claim they care about “justice.” They claim they’re protecting “families.” In reality, they’re protecting their precious future voters. It doesn’t matter if the person has a long rap sheet or if Americans are put in danger. Democrats see every illegal alien as another ballot, another piece of cheap labor, another point scored with their radical base and globalist donors.
Real Americans are sick of seeing politicians put criminals ahead of their own citizens. Why do liberals want to turn the United States into a sanctuary for anyone—no matter their crimes—just to prove how “progressive” they are? Whitmer’s pardon is just the latest proof: if you’re an illegal immigrant or non-citizen and you commit a serious crime, all you need is a Democrat in office and you’ll get a second chance. When will this madness end?
