The soft, spineless approach to Vladimir Putin has got to end. The left keeps babbling about “off-ramps” and “peaceful solutions,” but that’s just code for letting tyrants walk away with their crimes. Putin rolled tanks into Ukraine. He broke every rule in the book, and now some globalist elites want to reward him with a slice of Ukrainian land, like Crimea was just some souvenir. This isn’t diplomacy—it’s cowardice.
Giving Putin any territory would be a disaster. If he gets an inch, he’ll take a mile. We saw it with Crimea back in 2014. The world wagged its finger, Obama drew his “red line,” and Putin just smirked, pocketed the peninsula, and set his sights on the rest of Ukraine. Liberals acted shocked when the war broke out for real, but this is what appeasement gets you. It teaches bullies that tantrums work.
Meanwhile, the “international community” is more interested in cocktail parties and virtue signaling than standing up for basic justice. Globalist bureaucrats talk tough, but when it’s time to draw a line, they fold. The American left wants “peace talks.” They don’t want to offend Moscow. They’d rather bend over backwards than risk a headline. But peace doesn’t come from appeasing dictators; it comes from showing strength and making tyrants pay.
America should be leading, not apologizing. No more talking about deals behind Ukraine’s back. The only way this war ends is if Putin knows he can’t win. Not with tanks, not with threats, and certainly not with Western hand-wringing. If the price for starting a war is getting to redraw borders, then every madman with a gun will do the same thing tomorrow.
The world needs a reality check. You don’t stop a bully by handing over lunch money. You stop him by standing your ground and saying, “No more.” If we keep giving Putin off-ramps, where does it stop? Maybe it’s time the left stopped looking for exits and finally stood up to evil. Are we going to let autocrats call the shots, or are we still the free world?
