It’s about time real justice made a comeback in America, even if the Left hates to see it happen. This week, yet another alleged international fraudster—this time from right here in Texas—finally landed back on U.S. soil after a wild run from the law. American law enforcement just snatched up a Garland man, Abdullah Anwar, who’s accused of being part of a criminal money-laundering scheme that’s cost Americans more than a billion dollars over five years. That’s billion with a “B.” The so-called “global citizen” crowd must be so proud.
While liberals love to treat “transnational criminals” like poor, misunderstood victims, the reality is clear: these global operations only thrive because progressive elites have zero interest in protecting our borders or our wallets. Anwar’s string of alleged crimes—transporting stolen goods, wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering—didn’t happen in a vacuum. They’re the natural result of a world where soft policies, toothless border security, and endless bureaucratic red tape give cover to international scam artists and thieves.
What we see here isn’t just a one-off. This is part of an epidemic of foreign criminals and criminal cartels exploiting American weakness. Where is the outrage from the woke crowd when hard-working American families lose their savings to elaborate, cross-border fraud rings? Nowhere. They’re too busy lecturing us about “openness,” “global cooperation,” and “international human rights” while these syndicates loot our country blind.
Thankfully, real patriots in law enforcement still exist, and they’re fighting back. With whole-of-government task forces finally taking the gloves off, there’s a glimmer of hope that these criminal parasites might actually have to answer for their crimes. But let’s not pretend it was easy. While Anwar skipped out on his pretrial release and ran off to Pakistan, then Qatar, law enforcement hustled to fix what the courts should have never let happen in the first place. If the Left had its way, this guy would still be living it up overseas, laughing at the American system he scammed.
It’s time for Americans to demand real accountability—not just for criminals, but for all the progressive politicians and bureaucrats whose hand-wringing and pandering have weakened our country. When will they admit that open borders, soft-on-crime judges, and endless globalist nonsense leave us exposed? The only thing worse than a billion-dollar scam is a government that lets it happen. Americans deserve a lot better—so when will the Left finally care more about protecting our people than appeasing international criminals?
