Trump Accounts Are Making Kids Rich and Liberals Are Panicking

The Trump accounts—now that’s the kind of big, bold solution Americans have been desperate to see for years. This is what real leadership looks like: a program that gives every child in this country a shot at building wealth and learning the value of investing—without the usual government mess. While Democrats have spent decades talking circles about economic fairness and “baby bonds,” it took a get-things-done conservative administration to actually deliver a program that empowers parents, families, and, most importantly, the next generation.

Launched this Independence Day, Trump Accounts are changing the game. Citizens under 18 can finally have their own investment account, managed by a parent or guardian, and only U.S. stock index funds are allowed. No risky schemes. No Wall Street grifting. Just solid American companies. And forget about the greedy fund managers—the fees are capped at just 0.1%. Growth is tax-deferred, and withdrawals only happen when the kid turns 18. No loopholes, no handouts—just the proven power of compounding. Compare that to the endless left-wing promises of “free” college or “cancelled” loans that always end up exploding the federal budget and delivering exactly nothing to real families.

Liberals love to condescend and pretend Americans are too dumb for investing, but after just five days, millions of children had accounts—most funded with small contributions from normal, hard-working Americans. Ordinary families, not just wealthy donors or tech elites, are buying in, and the government even throws in a $1,000 head start for babies born in the first few years. Employers and philanthropists are lining up to contribute. Charity in action—without an army of bureaucrats getting fat off the taxpayers’ dime.

And take a look at the roll-out: the app rocketed to the top of the App Store with near-perfect reviews. Customer support didn’t buckle under pressure. Compare that to Obama’s health care website debacle, which collapsed almost immediately. The liberal media can’t spin it away—this time, conservatives did it better, faster, and cheaper. The data doesn’t lie: Americans are ready to invest in the future when they see a program run like a business, not a bloated government agency.

Even Democrats are forced to admit what’s obvious: this works. It takes kids who were shut out and gives them a stake in the American Dream. It gets them thinking about money, markets, and the real world—not just relying on government to fix everything for them. Maybe the left is scared that when vulnerable families actually start building wealth, their socialist sermons won’t hit so hard. Maybe they should be. With the Trump accounts, the next generation will be owners, not victims. That’s what terrifies the left, and that’s exactly why this is so important. Why should any American child be born into dependance when, with a little freedom and the right tools, they could be set up to succeed? That’s the question liberals can’t answer.
